Creating a pathfinder

The above link sends you to my pathfinder. This assignment was time-consuming. You need to share your resources but also explain and give a thorough enough presentation. You sort of created your own mini website!

Some things I want to note on this assignment are, I found the curation website a little dated. The interface kind of looked like it was from 1997. I’ve used LibGuides in that past and I’m also not crazy about that one either. If I were to create a resource page again, I would use the google site that was created for our class resource page. One thing I liked however was that they had their own Flickr search for adding photos, so that cut out the time that I would usually spend by going through a stock photos website.

Since I want to work in Youth Services, I can see creating pathfinders for parents and children. For example, children may need pathfinder pages for help with their school projects. I know in my own undergrad experience, the university librarians created LibGuides for different classes. For parents, I may create similar pathfinders to the one I created today. For example, how to use certain titles in the library for building literacy skills.
